By the way, Calling Roger an "alleged Super 8 enthusiast" is quite a slam, given he has devoted an unblievable amount of time, energy and money into the Workprinter, and other custom hardware projects, that benefit ONLY Super 8 filmmakers.
Just because someone also uses other formats, means they're smart, it doesn't mean they don't like Super 8.
Hell, given the opportunity (i.e. budget) I will gladly shoot 16mm, S16, 35mm, 65mm, and especially IMAX!
How many custom devices or products do you sell for Super 8 filmmakers specifically?
I mean, a device or product that ONLY BENEFITS SUPER 8 FILMMAKERS, AND CANNOT BE USED FOR ANYTHING ELSE!
I'd say Roger is behind S8 about 500% more than most other's here, and I'm glad he is.
I've spent about 4 years, brainstorming to come up with something like his Workprinter.
I spent hundreds of hours, bought several (expensive) Super 8 projectors, countless hours, and came up with basically crap.
His expertise and committment to bringing this product to fruition is a life saver for me, and it's such a low price, that it's just too good to be true.
So give the guy credit where credit's due....

You know what's funny, I was referring to you, not Roger!
I agree I shouldn't have phrased it that way ("alleged Super 8 enthusiast") .....normally I recognize my quotes, and that one I had to go back and check...so it must have flown off my fingers so fast, I didn't even question it....if you want I'll take it back, but then your response won't make sense....you tell me.
Roger was being skeptical about what was being said on the Kokak Super-8 Website in a previous response, and his skepticism may turn out to be right.
And you are totally in the opposite corner about the whole issue.
But both of you seem to agree that I somehow have offended the Super-8 God of Logical Conclusions...so there you go...I guess you two do agree on something afterall.
So lets recap, Roger says don't believe the Kodak web page because it simply is corporate speak, and you say don't believe Mr. E-Bay because his short-term agenda means he will sell more film....
So lets not believe anyone and.......???

I didn't get from Roger's message that he was saying "don't believe the Kodak website", only that it didn't clarify anything at all, on the subject of K-40 availability.
In other words, there's no credible information out there to suggest there is anything changing, in the availability of K-40.
Kodak NOT clarifying IF or WHEN anything different is happening in regards to K-40 avaiability is NOT them saying it IS or IS NOT going to be discontinued.
So, obviously, things are continuing as they are, with us being able to get the stuff, just like we have been for the last 40+ years.
As far as calling me a "so called S8 enthusiast" that's hysterical, since I don't shoot on anything else, and I don't even own a video camcorder.
I think we're just going to have to realize you have limited logic abilities, or something, because you need constant correcting about simple obvious things that make no sense.
Can you please explain EXACTLY why you seem to think Kodak is discontinuing K-40?
(And dont' say you don't after your infamous "time to kick some ass, someone have a plane to loan me?" statement).

Alex, I finally understand what your problem is. YOU CAN'T READ!
I labeled it typical Kodak promotion BS but NOwhere did I say not to believe the Kodak website. In fact, I'd say you can believe it at face value because all it says is that K25 is being discontinued and that they have released the 200 neg stock along with all their other stocks.
The funny thing is that the one thing that you NEVER quote when you bring up this discussion is the name that YOU gave the freakin' topic. You called it:
"A Clarification on the future of Kodachrome Super-8 Film"
You are just plain wrong and don't want to admit it. Period. The website can be believed but presents NO clarification on the future of K40 super 8 film. The notion that it does is something that you simply made up out of thin air for whatever reason you find near and dear to your own ego. Otherwise, you'd simply admit your mistake and move on. Instead, you spend incredible time and energy in your seemingly endless quest to one up me on SOMEthing. Silly.
Roger
